This mural is a creative reinterpretation of François Winterhalter’s ‘Empress Eugénie Surrounded by her Ladies in Waiting’, adapted with subtle modifications and executed in oil on a wall. Painted using techniques specific to wall art, the project was completed over a period of 15 days. My rendition preserves the elegance and historical ambiance of the original while introducing a personal touch to enhance the connection with contemporary viewers. The artwork pays homage to Winterhalter’s romantic style, capturing the sophistication and regal presence of the figures, yet it is uniquely tailored to the spatial dynamics of the chosen wall.
